Located inside St. Mary’s Mission Hospital in Nairobi, next to Kibera, Africa’s largest slum, our NGO works where healthcare inequities are most visible. This strategic position gives us direct access to vulnerable communities, allowing us to design research and services that are ethical, practical, and impactful.

At CRK-NGO, our clinical research focuses on the most pressing health challenges in Kenya, cardiovascular disease, and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). From hypertension and rheumatic heart disease to diabetes and obesity, we generate evidence that shapes prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Through our CliniQuest Research Site, equipped with clinics, a pharmacy, and a small lab, we conduct clinical trials and implementation studies that bring global science closer to local realities. Our goal is not just research for publication, but research that saves lives and improves health systems.
Our capacity-building programs empower healthcare workers across Kenya and beyond. Through our e-learning platform (crkcourses.com), more than 15,000 healthcare providers have gained access to flexible, high-quality training. As an official CPD provider in Kenya, we ensure that doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals stay updated with the latest medical knowledge and skills, strengthening the healthcare system from within.

Every child deserves the chance to live, play, and dream. Through our Saving Children’s Hearts program, we provide life-saving heart surgeries for children in Kenya with congenital and acquired heart diseases. In collaboration with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, we make specialized care accessible to children who would otherwise have no chance of survival, giving them a healthy future filled with hope.
