Research That Transforms Healthcare
Health Research & Innovation
We lead clinical research in Kenya that addresses the most pressing health challenges, including cardiovascular diseases, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and public health priorities.
Our research focuses on:
- Innovative diagnostic and treatment strategies
- Locally driven studies to strengthen health systems
- Collaborative trials with leading institutions
Through partnerships with the Kenya Cardiac Society, KEMRI, and KMPDC, we ensure research findings translate into better care and stronger policies. Ultimately, our goal is to build a healthier and more resilient Kenya—one study at a time.

Every Child Deserves a Healthy Heart
Saving Children’s Hearts
Congenital and rheumatic heart diseases are among the leading causes of child mortality in Kenya. Through our Children’s Heart Program, we provide life-saving surgeries, medical care, and follow-up for children who would otherwise not survive. Each successful surgery gives a child the chance to run, laugh, and dream again.

Building Local Capacity for Lasting Impact
Capacity Building
At CRK–NGO, we believe that sustainable healthcare begins with strong local expertise. That’s why we invest in training healthcare workers, strengthening hospitals, and empowering communities with the knowledge and skills they need to deliver quality care long after our missions end.
Through partnerships with Kenyan hospitals and international institutions, we provide:
- Specialized medical training for doctors, nurses, and clinical officers
- Workshops and mentorships in heart health, critical care, and community medicine
- Capacity development projects that improve hospital systems and infrastructure
By strengthening local health systems, we ensure that children and families receive the care they deserve—not just today, but for generations to come.
Why This Matters
Our impact at a glance:
- 100+ children screened for congenital and rheumatic heart disease
- 10 children received life-saving heart surgery in Kenya and abroad
- 15,000+ healthcare workers trained in advanced care and research methods
- Thousands reached through medical campaigns and health education in underserved communities

By combining clinical research, capacity building, and direct care, we ensure that health innovations don’t stay in journals—they transform real lives.
