John Dawod is the Chairman and Co-Founder of CRK Clinical Research Key – NGO (CRK-NGO), where he leads efforts to bring high-quality clinical research and health programs to underserved communities across Kenya. With a background in pharmacy and international public health, he has dedicated his career to bridging gaps between medical innovation and community needs.

Beyond CRK-NGO, John serves as the Country Coordinator for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque in Kenya, facilitating life-saving heart surgeries for children with congenital defects. He also contributes to major health initiatives at the Coptic Hope Center for Infectious Diseases and is an Ambassador of the 5/5 Formation Program.

John has spearheaded several national awareness and training programs, including Kenya’s first CPD-accredited CME on transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CM), in partnership with the Kenya Cardiac Society and international collaborators.

His leadership reflects a strong commitment to equity, capacity building, and global collaboration, ensuring that research, education, and healthcare services reach the most vulnerable populations.

I believe research should not only advance science, but also transform lives in underserved communities.
