Karen Kiranka is a skilled clinical research coordinator and healthcare manager with extensive experience in public health, healthcare management, and pharmacy. At CRK-NGO, she plays a central role in coordinating clinical trials, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the implementation of high-quality research projects that advance health outcomes in Kenya.

She previously served as the Head of Operations at CRK-Clinical Research Kenya, where she oversaw day-to-day research operations and contributed to building a strong organizational foundation for clinical studies. Earlier in her career, she worked as a pharmacist at The Nairobi Hospital, gaining first-hand experience in patient care and pharmaceutical management.

Karen holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Strathmore University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Infection Prevention and Control at Queen’s University, Canada. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Delhi Pharmaceutical University, along with a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Kenya Medical Training College.

She has completed advanced certifications in Global Health Research and Project Management from the University of Washington, as well as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification from the NIDA Clinical Trials Network.

At CRK-NGO, Karen leverages her background in pharmacy, public health, and clinical administration to ensure efficient research coordination. She is passionate about advancing global health research, infection prevention, and capacity building for healthcare systems in underserved communities.
